The Night My Twin Sister Mysteriously Disappeared… (Chapter II)

Since you know the important things, let’s take a seat and talk about what I mentioned earlier... You know, the fact my Twin disappeared... We haven’t found the body... She was presumed dead after week two of no luck finding her ... BUT they found her blood. They told my parents everything while I am over here having hope because I don’t know very much on the matter. I just feel it in my twin senses, she is still alive but not well... The protocol here is when you go missing for 14 days and leave behind tons of blood, you are assumed to be dead. So, that is their theory. I’m not sure why they have given up on my Sister but I know I haven’t. She is my Twin, my person, my other half. Literally!

It all started 14 days ago, at Jui’s (Our Older Sister) birthday Dinner. Her birthday was different this year. It fell on Friday the 13th and a full blood moon. She loves witches so it excited her about her birthday this year. She was so incredibly happy I can’t even begin to describe it.

We were all having laughs and cheers for Jui’s 17th birthday. You could just feel the great and amazing vibes from our dinner table in the beautifully lit restaurant. We ate at her most favorite restaurant, La Blanc. It’s an expensive French restaurant named after a white wine. We were all nicely dressed in our heels with our hair put up (me and Hannah) and in our pretty little sun dresses, both yellow. Jui was wearing her hair down, black curls waving in the air as she excitedly exchanged words and a smile on her face and laughter coming through her smiles, wearing a brand new black laced dress that goes down all the way to her knees, her diamond black heels, and her rosy red cheeks with red lipstick, white eyeshadow, a contour and her perfectly naturally arch-shaped eyebrows. Her teeth were glistening white in the brightly lit lights. Her nails were freshly painted red, medium length and coffin shaped. Her big diamond hoop earrings blinded you with each shine from the lights hitting them perfectly. She looked amazing. We adore our Older Sister. She is our Guardian.

Mom wore a red lengthy dress, diamond earring studs, diamond choker, diamond bracelet, res lipstick, big red curly hair, white eyeshadow and only the top eyeliner, soft pink blush and a light contour. Her heels were shiny red with tiny diamonds on them. The heels, however, were black. Kind of like a backwards Louis Vuitton with sparkles.

Dad wore a black on black tuxedo with a red bowtie, red shoes, and his black wedding band.

Dad’s Mother, our Grandmother who lives in India, came to visit Jui on her special day. Grandmother wore a black sparkly dress with swung all the way down to the ground, black shawl, black heels, red lipstick, black eyeshadow, light contour, red blush, and her hair was short, curly, and black. She wore pearly stud earrings that Grandpa gave her and her big pearly wedding band and bracelet loaded with pearls. Black pearls. Her black pearled bracelet also had a black pearly necklace with a big red diamond that shined brighter than the sun when it was only in moonlight. It shined all the time but the brightest was always in the moonlight. That night? Brighter than ever! Especially in the blood moon’s light.

We call her, Grandma Sorei.

It was only us six. It was small and intimate for Jui’s 17th birthday.

Our Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins met us afterwards at the house.

We have a huge family. We all went out to the backyard to play and have a mini cookout on the grill. We (me and the Siblings and the Cousins) cozied up next to the fire pit out back. We ate marshmallows and as we were eating, our Cousin, Jorie, started telling us a scary story. Jui was interested and they were close in age. Jorie is 19. The story went like this:

“There’s this creature in the woods here, in Ontario, that eats little kids alive. The mystery? They never actually die. No one can figure out how you eat something alive AND keep it alive. Scientists are trying to use every Scientific theory to make sense of it but they can’t piece the mystery together. —“

Jorie got interrupted by rustling in the bushes behind our privacy fence. Our house is on the edge of the neighborhood so our backyard faces the woods but we also live on top of a hill so we can see the city lights where we live.

Our parents called us into the house to say our goodbyes as our Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins were leaving. Jorie? We begged that he should stay. Jorie stayed the night with us that night.

The next morning? My Sister wasn’t in our bed that we share and she was nowhere to be found .... and this was noticed at 3 AM ....

I’m wide awake and alone in our bed in the dark....

I was terrified not only for me

But for Hannah, my Twin Sister....
