Learning Disabilities

I, personally, have a Learning Disability and it helps me read aloud questions and information. Learning Disabilities are specific impairments of learning in academics and also interfere with learning academics and performances. Students can delay in reading, are unable to read specific words the correct way, or may seem like a word it isn't (Dyslexia), physical and sensory and motor are also types of Learning Disabilities.

Dyslexia is having difficulty with reading words and also numbers. It manipulates the sounds and spelling of words and also visual processing. Dyslexia is a neurological issue involving recognizing letters, verbal responses, or being able to manipulate sounds. Treatments involve specific learning areas and alternate to accommodate the learning of the individual.

Dysgraphia is a writing disability. This is also an issue I have when it comes to my learning disability. I would have to bring a laptop to school in high school and middle school for notes. My teachers would take their time to let me type down the notes. I have to type out notes (or write, depending on the notes) in order to learn what the notes are. I have issues with spaces and forming proper letters. I space randomly within a word. Example: Jane jumped from the rock (Jane jumped from the rock). It's still difficult but that is why I now write in cursive so I can keep my words together and properly spaced when needed.

Dyscalculia refers to problems in math. This is the disability I definitely never struggled with (I struggled with Geometry but not due to my learning disabilities). This is a disability that makes you have issues with learning mathematics. The issues are reasoning, working memory, processing speed, and oral language. Problems that have multi-digit skills were part of the learning issues.
