Giving Tuesday: Syrian American Medical Society

Syrian American Medical Society Website: https://www.sams-usa.net/rush-aid-now/

History:

Syria’s war began back in March of 2011 under President Assad’s control. It began from protests to a full blown civil war. However, it wasn’t until 2015 when the United States, the United Kingdom, and France to jumped in with their air campaigns. The Turkish troops began on their ground in 2016 and in September of 2015, Russia began their air strikes.

In 2023, there have been more than 6.9 million displaced Syrians along with more than 3.4 million Syrians who have fled to Turkey and attempted Europe.

Numbers of civilians who have died and are displaced remain growing and the UN posts updates on their deaths and displacements.

Our Message:

That is why every year we, at FC World Foundation, give every year to the Syrian American Medical Society as they are on the frontlines of the war caring for the Syrian civilians all year round. The Syrians are more than a number. They are families, friends, husbands, wives, children, newborns, etc. The Syrian American Medical Society provides medical care in Syria and they have even provided an outreach to Palestine as well and other neighboring countries. They provide medical training and beyond.

Help us give back to the Syrian community as they continue to suffer from this civil war.

Also, help us give back to the vulnerable communities in the United States as SAMS also serves in the vulnerable communities by providing free quality health care since 2017 via their SAMS Community Outreach (SCO).
