Arizona State University Adventure: Day Four (March 13, 2024)
This morning starts off with a beautiful breakfast at First Watch with Gabby. We caught up on our lives recently and what’s to come for our futures.
I am now sitting in the Student Pavilion at Arizona State University, Tempe Campus conducting my studies and assignments. My assignment I am working on today are the ethical issues happening at the home health agencies across the country (U.S.). It’s quite intriguing actually, they aren’t performing their required OASIS assessments to CMS for major injuries that required the patient(s) to be hospitalized from their falls.
There is a protest at Starbucks right now (the one at the Student Pavilion) against the occupation. FREE PALESTINE.
It’s ironic because I am wearing my kiffiyeh today :)
I am now working on my short topical paper for my HCR 461 class and it’s about the compliance issues on Skilled Nursing Facilities. It’s quite interesting as I have found possible “reasons” as to why they are failing to provide proper and accurate treatment and discharge plans.
I headed back to my hotel at 2:30 PM and just decided to relax the rest of the day here and work a little bit.
I am working on my Islam in the Modern World notes as there are so many notes to take this week before our first test next week.
Boa and tea for Iftar tonight!
Featuring: my Abaya from Dubai (from my Ukhtee).
