Arizona state University: Day Three (March 12, 2024)
Started off with my morning hike to campus at 9 AM and conducted my study sessions and note-taking for my Corrective Action class and my Islam in the Modern World class. I have so many notes to take for my Islam in the Modern World class it’s almost never ending but there’s so much information to retain and it’s been enjoyable so far. For my Corrective Action class I have assignments and readings to do by Thursday. I am taking these all head on and focused.
I met with my Ukhtee (Sister), Livvy, today at 1:30 at the MU and it was lovely. I got my Qur’an, prayer beads, and Abaya from Dubai from her. The Qur’an is much smaller than it looked in the photos and I am so happy about that because large books like my Torah can be heavy and exhausting to carry all day. I am obsessed with it!
I met with Felicity at the Student Pavilion to catch up and we ended up going to a Kava bar (Kavasutra) and let me just tell y’all, it was so amazing especially with the relaxed effects while we conducted our schoolwork sessions. We honestly got so much done thanks to the relaxed feeling and focus the Kava gave us.
We ended our night with some fun and dinner at Jack in the Box.
Needless to say, we crashed when we both got back home.
